Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian has been suspended seven games , the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced.
Kassian's suspension comes after he kicked Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak in the chest with his skate during Thursday night's game. The incident occurred at 17:38 of the first period, but wasn't called a penalty at the time.

Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian has been banned seven contests for kicking Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak , the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Friday. Kassian extended his leg toward Cernak's chest in the first period Thursday night. The Edmonton winger wasn't penalized for the incident. It's the second suspension for Kassian in 2020.
