It was a beautiful day in Boston with the Red Sox beating the New York Yankees, until all of a sudden, they weren't.
Starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi tossed an absolute gem, but once he left the mound, the Yankees used the top of the eight to make up the three-run difference and win, 4-3.
Boston benefitted from great baserunning from Kiké Hernández and Jarren Duran to score, but the bats didn't have another comeback in them, though they teased one in the bottom of the eighth and ninth.
With the loss, the Red Sox fall to 60-38 on the season, while the Yankees improve to...

Rafael Devers is one of the most positive players in baseball - at least, Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora thinks so.
“He's a happy guy. Raffy comes here and everybody loves him. He'll say hi to everybody in English and Spanish,” Cora said before Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. “It's just a joy. He's just a little kid enjoying the game. The fact that he's making a lot of money and he can hit homers, I'd be happy too. But he enjoys it. He enjoys the moment too and he enjoys winning.”

It sounded like it might have a chance off Kiké Hernández's bat, leading off for the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, but the ball instead bounced off the Green Monster.
The red-hot hitter made it work anyway, working a triple and taking advantage of speedy base running and an overthrow from New York Yankees second baseman Rougned Odor to score!
Can you come up with a more fun way to start a series-deciding game against a division rival?
WOW 😱

When it comes to the best young players in Major League Baseball, Red Sox manager Alex Cora believes Rafael Devers should feature more prominently in the conversation.
Devers, whose 25th birthday is Oct. 24, joined elite company during Friday's defeat of the New York Yankees. He logged his 100th career home run , becoming the third Boston player to do so before turning 25 - alongside Ted Williams and Tony Conigliaro.
With that fresh on his mind, Cora said he wants Devers to get the recognition he deserves.
“Whenever I'm watching TV and they're talking about the young...
