Mahrez wanted Champions League football

Manchester City are the champions of the Premier League. They won the title on 100 points while scoring 106 goals. They have yet to lose anybody of note during the summer transfer window. And now they've even added Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez to their side.In other words, Pep Guardiola's side is only getting stronger.With the likes of Leroy Sané, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling already in the side, we don't know how much playing time Mahrez is going to get. Something tells us Guardiola is going to figure something out, but it's too early to say. A cynical view points to Mahrez only making this move for financial purposes. Which, even if that is the main reason, good for him. That's his right. But according to Agence France-Presse, it's more than that.“It's a club who wants to win this type of trophy. The Champions League is for big clubs and Manchester City are a big club.
