Report: Kings could look to draft Porter Jr. with No. 2 pick

Michael Porter Jr. may not have to wait long on June 21 to hear his name called by NBA commissioner Adam Silver. There's a "very real chance" that the Sacramento Kings select Porter Jr. with their No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft, according to USA Today's Sam Amick. With Arizona's DeAndre Ayton the presumed No. 1 selection going to the Phoenix Suns , Sacramento seems to be looking at not only Porter Jr., but also European standout Luka Doncic and Duke forward Marvin Bagley. Porter Jr. was widely considered to be the favorite to go first overall after a sensational run as a five-star recruit at Nathan Hale High School. An unfortunate lower back injury suffered in the first half of his season opener with Missouri forced him to go under the knife, though, keeping him sidelined for all but three games as a college athlete.
