MONTREAL - The worst-kept secret in hockey has now been revealed with Joel Bouchard officially joining the Montreal Canadiens organization to coach the AHL's Laval Rocket .
You'll have trouble finding anyone in Quebec who doesn't consider that to be a win for the Canadiens.
Perhaps the only surprise here is that the coaching responsibilities will be the only ones Bouchard undertakes. Canadiens announce hiring of Joel Bouchard as coach of Laval Rocket

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Thursday the hiring of Joel Bouchard as head coach of their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket.
The Canadiens also revealed that Rocket general manager Larry Carriere has been promoted to director of player personnel for the team. There will not be an official GM for the organization.
Bouchard, 44, has been GM of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada for the past seven seasons and the head coach since the 2014-15 campaign, recording 145 wins in 244 games. Bouchard was an assistant coach alongside current Canadiens assistant Dominique Ducharme from 2008 to 2011...
