Eduardo Nunez delivered the knockout punch in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday night. Nunez, a pinch-hitter, was batting against Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Alex Wood in the bottom of the 7th inning and had a 1-0 count with two on and two outs. It was a narrow affair most of the night, but with a 5-4 Red Sox lead in the seventh, pinch-hitter Eduardo Nunez busted the game open with a three-run blast. It was the biggest of many timely hits throughout the night.
