Watch: Marlins fan poses as catcher for 1st pitch, then proposes

If you're going to give your love a diamond ring, you might as well do it on a diamond. Before Wednesday night's game at Marlins Park, Miami Marlins fan Marlyn Sanchez threw out the ceremonial first pitch to a Marlins catcher squatting in full gear. The pitch was off-line, but nobody minded much. The "catcher" turned out to be her boyfriend - now fiance - Ralph Cabrera, who immediately ditched the mask and got down on one knee to propose to a shocked Marlyn, presenting her with the ring he'd hidden inside a hollowed-out baseball. A Miami Marlins fan used a ceremonial first pitch before Wednesday's game as an opportunity to propose to his girlfriend.A woman named Marlyn was set to sing the national anthem and throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Marlins-Los Angeles Dodgers game. The man catching behind home plate happened to be her boyfriend, who then proposed. The Marlins filmed a video with the man, Rafael, before his proposal, in which he described his plan. They posted that to Twitter, which included the best part - instead of a ring box, the engagement ring was stored inside a hollowed-out baseball.
