Injuries will continue to keep a pair of key Boston Bruins out of action Thursday.
Both Charlie McAvoy and Tuukka Rask will miss Thursday's game against the Washington Capitals, Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy announced following morning skate.
Rask has been out for roughly a month now due to a back issue sustained March 7. He took his time and started to recover, returning to game action on March 25. However, he reaggravated the injury in the first period of that game and has not played since, though he is on the team's current road trip.

The Boston Bruins will once again be running shorthanded on the back end.
Charlie McAvoy will miss his second straight game Thursday when the Bruins face the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena.
McAvoy is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but is back and Boston and out Thursday. Tuukka Rask, who is on the trip with the team, also will be out against the Caps. Jeremy Swayman, who made his NHL debut Tuesday , will start as a result.

Thursday will be another action-packed day in Boston sports.
The Boston Red Sox will visit the Baltimore Orioles in the first of their three-game set. Coverage will begin at 2 p.m. ET on NESN, and first pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. Then, the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals will face off, with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. on NESN+, and puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m., on NESN and/or NESN+.
